Hi all,

I would like to remove, check and clean my S3C fuel injectors. I will have to remove the plenum to access, and I don't find where to buy the new gaskets :

It's possible to buy a complete head gasket set with these gaskets, but I don't find them alone. Do you have a reference ?

Thanks.

It's worth looking at Tickover for this kind of thing, although currently they only appear to have plenum gaskets for the 2.8 not 2.9. https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/tickoverretrofordparts

I think I've read somewhere that Tickover are closing down.
Why not just buy some sheet gasket material, and make your own. It's not hard, just time consuming. All that's needed is a steady hand and a sharp blade.

Can't see the plenum gaskets in his Ebay shop but I've definitely bought them from this guy in the past, might be worth contacting him?

You could make then but that for me would be a "last resort", it would be a bit of a fiddle !

If they come apart without tearing maybe a light smear of Hylomar and re-use?

You're right, it's not hard, just a waste of time for a £5 gasket.

Since the Brexit, it's very expensive for us, inside the EU, to place a little order in UK. With the flat custom application fees (£15), it's not profitable. With big orders, it's not a problem.

I finally found the reference of the gasket alone :

Given that these are "Cologne" engines, there must be a few and, more importantly, associated spares over there in Mainland Europe?

Of course, but it was complicated without any reference. In UK, finding parts for old sport cars is very easy. There is a lot of specialists, with websites, at affordable prices.
And that's why before Brexit, I placed an order in UK, at least, every month... since the begin of the year, with custom duties ... only one frown

Here it's more complicated. Parts from specialist sellers are expensive. The only cheap solution is finding it with a reference, in the car part distribution network.

Yes, I know.... but sellers don't know that this part goes on the Granada 2.9 EFI.... when they know what is a Granada laugh ....

The solution was to get the reference, and now we got it :

ELRING 761.354
VICTOR REINZ 71-27397-10
FORD 6 146 186

And as we are on PH and not on FB, the information is written in stone thumbup and could be written in the "Alternative Parts List"
