Can anyone tell me the spec for the rigid fuel pipes, as can be seen in this photo (taken when stripping chassis down) as mine requires replacing. Not checked the ones at the front yet but don’t recall seeing any issues. This goes from pump to the accumulator.

Also, are they hard to get off/fit onto the Banjo fittings if any more needs replacing. ?

Any help on where to buy from appreciated too.

That hard nylon pipe is a pig to work with.

I cut mine off and replaced with rubber (Gates Barricade) onto the original fittings.

Thanks for the quick response, that sounds like a plan. Hopefully it’s just the back one that needs replacing.

Think I need to test the fuel system before putting the body on, refurbed tank sump and sender seals, new pipe to pump with addition of fuel filter and this pipe too. Lots to go wrong.

I replaced as much as possible to 8mm copper (micro bore heating pipe) and lightly flared the ends to fit the gates barricade hose at each end (only a couple of inches).

I’ll do the same. Thanks.

Make sure it's well secured along the whole length. Copper will work harden and become brittle if it's allowed to flex.

Will do. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm going to be doing the same shortly - is there truth in the statement the Cunifer pipe is the way ahead for this?

Cunifer is much better, but also much harder to work with.

As I recall the hose needs to meet R9 spec to be ethanol compatible.
Hopefully somebody will confirm or correct that.

If you scroll further down the page you will see the ethanol resistant 8mm hose. The one you have linked to here is not ethanol suitable.

Glad I checked. Many thanks. So for everyone’s future reference. This is the one.

with the j-tronic fuel injection (i guess you have a V6) there is quite a lot of pressure onto the pipes, hence the original equipment was nylon.

Yes I have a 2.8 V6. A few people have used this already, so tried and tested. Internal bore is 7.3mm, so going to be a tight fit especially with flared ends on the copper. Think I better move the swear box out of the way.
