Dear all,

I have had a problem that the rubber at the back of the door window on topp of the door keeps being pushed off when the window goes up on my S3.

I recently saw that the screws, that I supose hold the window frame inside the door, is gone.

Can somebody here please check what they are. I think the upper one is a wood screw into the fiberglass but the lower may be a threaded screw.

Kind regards
//Rob

My doors don't have the top screw/hole?

lower one is a self tapping screw into the top of the alluminium window channel. Has to be just the right length, too long and the glass will hit it.

That is TVR. They are all differnt.

Mine is a 1990 S3C.

Do you by chance have the dimensions of the lower screw?

Here it is, but as you can see it is not a countersunk screw, probably because I don't have many of those in stainless.

Suspect it started off at 10mm long but point has been ground of so now its only about 8mm and I'd guess an 8 gauge?

Might do the job? smile

I have just removed my door card to replace the door window glass runner rubbers.
The bottom screw is to hold the top of the rearmost aluminium runner in situ.
The top screw is into the little rubber 'C' cap at the back, on top of the door.
Well they are on my 1990 S3.

Thank you!

I will adjust a screw to that and install.

Will report back if that cures the problem. Probably will. 😃
