Hi chaps , have just fitted my new digital display electronic speedo from Speedy Cables , very happy I am too.
First off , Speedo is top quality , beautiful bit of kit with original pointer fitted and printing in identical font and logo as per the original . It also has a trip counter push button which I have mounted on the lower steering column cover .
Secondly , it is a bit pricey but in my view it's worth it for the quality . Be aware though it took ages to get (18 months) , apparently the lead time is around four to six months without Covid delays .
Wiring in was very easy and it came with my original mileage and ready calibrated .
It's a little bit of a tight fit but a few minutes dressing out the dashboard hole sorted that .
A few pictures ,

The wiring was , green to ignition switched live ( I put a 3amp fuse in line as was recommended) ,white/black to ECU signal , black to chassis, and red/white to illumination.

All in very nice bit of kit in my view . Oh and a big thanks to Mike for the loan of his spare speedo .
S also passed MOT yesterday so happy all round.

Yes I'm very happy it's kept the look of the original clock .

Are all TVR speeds laid out like that?
I'm used to speedo scales starting at 7-8 o'clock & going round to 4-5 o'clock. Don't think I've ever owned a car that has deviated from that; apart from a Citroën with a digital numerical speedo with no needle.

That exactly the same as what was fitted , it's so you get a better view through the steering wheel I think .
I think some Chims and Griff's are the same .

Sounds like the guy put himself on the furlough scheme despite having a 6 month backlog of work and working for himself and his "staff" being his wife.
That's just taking the piredfaceredface

Of that era, yes. I think it comes from the company owner Peter Wheeler being very tall and finding the steering wheel obscures the dials. Convenient for me since I'm tall too.

You may want to check the illumination colour: I have one of these & it is a different colour to the rest of the clocks

Yes mine came with yellow lighting even though I specifically asked for green .
I contacted Speedy Cables and they apologised and have sent me two green LEDs which are easily fitted by removing the large circular bung on the back casing and twist removing the black LED holder and replacing the filament , making sure it's in the right way round .
Hey presto ...green illumination !
