I am just about to get my radiator rebuilt and would like to know what it means when the 'Parts list' description states 'Leyland van with extra core'. What does extra core mean? Does it have to be a specific size/number of elements etc or will the radiator experts know what that means?

Stupid question I know but if you don't ask!!

I don't know where you are based but if you take it to our local Serck they will sort it out for you as they did mine. They basically measure up the cores you need from your rad.

Thanks for that. I phoned Sercks in Portsmouth. They knew exactly what I meant. The TVR has 3 instead of the standard 2 cores. £135 + VAT and 24hr turn round.

By coincidence I've got an interview at BAE just off Anchorage road tomorrow at 11am. Is it likely to be busy around there at that time - any road works? I'll be coming down from Newbury and was going to give myself an hour and a quarter as it's about 60 miles.

Thanks,

Mark

Personally i'd give 60mins 'best' between Pompey and Newbury, 1 hour 30 to be on the safe side and probably more for an interview, but thats me.

Thanks for that, I'll give myself plenty of time then.

Dern,

Sorry about not replying to your question re traffic/roadworks. I have only just had chance to read my emails etc today for the first time since the weekend.
Hope your interview went okay.
I still haven't had chance to drop my rad off so I'd have been no use anyway.

No worries, it only took me an hour and got there in plenty of time. It went very well but haven't heard the final result from them yet - fingers crossed.

Regards,

Mark
