I have tried to use the search on pistonheads to no avail. On a trip to Scotland and the Lake District in our S2 (1500 miles) we have developed a really bad squeak in the o/s rear suspension. The Avo shocks are only 6 months old and are fitted with metal roses. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you cure it? Previously we had nylon/plastic bushes and had the same issue which is why we went to roses. Thanks

Had the same issue with Avo's.

Cured the problem by changing them for Protech's smile

Are the rose joints sealed? If you're using these, they should be sealed and preferably with PTFE liners. These may not be the cause of the squeak, but if you're using plain cheap rose joints that would be my first suspicion. Do also check the suspension pivot bolts are all tight - if a bush is shifting, that can also squeak.
