Open Door ?

Whent to get in the car today and the door will only open 3 inches.
Seems to be fouling on something. Pivots OK but then there is resistance and I don`t want to force it.
Anybody had same thing happen.:(
Maybe she`s sick of my bad driving and won`t let me in :weeping:

Maybe just something caught in the door opening, but could also be that the hinge pin has seized and ripped the bobbin out of the shell, in which case the free movement you're feeling is between the bobbin and the shell. Hope it isn't this because it's a b*stard to fix.

That's a strange one Dale. There is nothing within the door mechanism that can cause this.

You may have a stone or something trapped at the bottom of the door.
Unless your missus is inside holding the door closed

The only other thing I can think is :-

Hinge pins have seized due to lack of use. Unlikely as we are having the best few weeks of the year (while I am off the road )
