Been having a play in the S this weekend, I had only done Motorway work up till now, with the odd roundabout thrown in since SG did the shocks and springs, the car felt planted and on the long curve from the M1 to the M6, it really handled nicely.
The ride was firm but not overly uncomfortable.
Over the weekend however, I have been really putting the car through its paces and hurling it into corners to see what the limits of an £80.00 shock are and I have to say, that at allmost exactly half the price of Nitron, this is not a bad setup.
However,I can see why the guys who really chuck a car about rave about Nitron and other gas shocks because more control of the rebound would be preferable and I will ask Gaz to have a look at the bump/rebound ratio and putting some race coils on, maybe offering a kit for those guys who want even better handling at a budget price for trackdays.
BTW the current ratio is about 2.5/1 according to the dyno report.
