immobiliser woes
Discussion
My V8S is fitted with M1600 immobiliser by Micro Scan Security Products
It has recently started to play up, randomly not allowing me to disarm and start the car
Does anyone happen to have a wiring diagram or installation instructions a I want to remove it entirely
or can anyone recommend an immobiliser installer in my area Ludlow SY8

If its just an immobiliser it should be fairly straight forward, once you've found it, to follow the wires until you get to where there have broken into the original loom?
Re join original loom wiring colour to colour (probably two circuits cut into). There'll also be a live or two, an earth or two and may be a switched live?
Guess you could leave the unit connected but doing nothing just to give you the flashing light as a deterrent?
Or replace the whole thing with a new one?

Sample wiring diagram . . . .
May be if you're really lucky ( ) Penny Plopit will be along shortly to put you right

Find the control unit. I suspect you'll find it shoved up above the steering column. Follow the wires back to where they spliced into the original wires. Remove the splices and reconnect the original wires. I suspect you'll find these are close to the ignition switch and all easily accessible to any would-be car thief, rendering the whole thing a bit pointless.
