Post Covid Runs - I'm now looking to run the Northern one first and to keep it legal will probably run mid week to keep away from the hotels at the weekend as I think they will be quite full. I have not yet checked into any hotels but thinking of starting on the Tuesday 25th May .

How can it work in May though? After 17 May, the rule of 6 or 2 households inside will apply, so it isn't going to be much of a social occasion in a hotel or a pub in the evenings, unless you are only expecting 6 people in the run!

Hoping everything about the run will be outdoors - so up to 30 people
Meal wise split down to a couple of car per table max. but can have adjoining tables

Appreciate your efforts Mick but think I would rather wait till things can be done restriction free.

No worries Mike - will probably do the South West route at the end of June when all should be clear. The North Run is very close to home so don't mind a little restriction. If Boris stops it then I'll reschedule again.

So that will be starting at the Premier Inn car park about 10am of Tuesday 25th May then travelling to Penrith, Wednesday will be a trip around the Lakes and back to Penrith. Thursday sees us travelling to Duns then Livingston (Premier Inn) and Friday into SW Scotland 'til lunch and then home.

We are staying within the rules. Only one or two in the car. No swapping from one car to another. Only gather out doorman stay at least 2 metres from another crew. Meals again at least 2 metres as per the establishment seating area. Preferably outside. If the rules change then we will change to comply or postpone to another date.

Pah! That's a fact of life!

In the mean time live and enjoy it instead of hiding in the locked bathroom holding your breath with your mask on.

Although Penny is correct (deaths are around 10 per day), we are emerging slowly and this tour is compliant with the Government guidelines. There will be limited mixing indoors (max 6 people and stay the same 6 at each indoor) but most of the time we will be in 2 seater cars. Meals will be outside generally.

Ignore Penny.
He/She is a hideous growth that has infected, PH leading to a lot of people no longer posting here.
You have stated you are following the rules Mick and are prepared to make changes if the rules themselves change.
Nobody can ask for more than that but it won't be enough for the arrogant Ms.Stoppit who is right about anything and everything.
A legend in its own mind.

Best ignore the tt and get on with our lives.
