TVR S1 Citroen CX door mirrors

Hi,

I know there are numerous posts about the door mirror possibilities. I looked at he following:
- Mazda MX5 Mk1
- Citroen CX25 Mk2
- Ford Fiesta Mk1
- Audi A3
- Audi TT Mk1

After searching some pictures i still think the citroen mirrors look best. The others look a bit to modern ?



How hard are they to fit to a S1 ?

Your doors have a big lump of plastic moulded in that the metal 'dumbbell' thing in your photo swivels in. The Citroen mirrors screw into a large threaded insert moulded into a recess in the doors.
I think manual Citroen mirrors exist but were you thinking of wiring them up to work?

here's a passenger side, just cut the insert out and re-glass into your door

I found a pair of manual ones and a pair of electric. Not sure which ones would be easiest.
