Hi everyone

As mentioned in THIS TOPIC Chris "Barkychoc" Bark recently passed away.

Seeing as he was such a big fan of TVRs, particularly the S Series cars, some of his TVR friends are planning to escort Chris on his final road trip from his home in Bingham to Grantham crematorium on 14th December. It's 13.30 at the crematorium so depart from Bingham at approx 12.30. Alternatively you can simply park your car at the crematorium and 'make some noise' when Chris arrives.

Chris gave so much of his time sharing his considerable technical knowledge with people in this forum so it would be great if we could get a few cars together for him. If you are interested in helping out please either add your name in this topic, send me a message through my profile or contact me by email (so I don't have to put my email address in a public forum and get even more junk my contact details are HERE.

Thanks in advance,
L'rs

Right day (eventually), right place and early!

Very sad circumstances obviously, but nice to see you all. Three sports cars is very good for the time now, and one very similar looking and sounding to Chris's!

Nice to hear from Amy that the posts and support has helped at a time which is always so tough.

Hi, I'm Chris' son Adam and just writing to say thanks! I was in the second car behind the hearse today with my brother Matthew
and the sound of you guys behind us certainly put a smile on our faces - especially as we got into Grantham itself, the revs under the train bridge sounded particularly awesome! Dad would have absolutely loved it - thanks again for you guys coming along, he really loved the TVR community even after having to sell his car due to his illness.

My sister Amy has mentioned arranging some kind of memorial in the future when covid is no longer an issue (hopefully soon!) so hopefully we can meet and say thanks properly at some point soon where beer and food can be involved!

Hi Adam

Thanks for taking the time to say that, especially after the kind of day you must've had...

I am pleased I could be part of the escort for your dad. It looked (and sounded!) great from where I was sitting.

I emailed Amy earlier and said I'd definitely be up for getting together when we're able to beer

Cheers,
Ian

Hi Adam, thank you for posting. The sound under that bridge was really nice and Chris would have liked that.

Isn't it odd how TVRs have an auto setting that makes them rev under bridges... ;-)
