The picture is of a 1990 S3, from what I can see online I believe the colour is known as Portland Grey, could anyone confirm if that’s correct before I order dye.

Just a thought -- if you take the seat out (not a difficult job) you will find some of the original leather underneath which should have survived un-faded. Or failing that, inside the pocket on the back of the seat (if you have a full-hide variant that is). Send it with your order to a dye specialist, and see if they can help with a positive match.

I’ve a friend who used to do repairs etc for a living who suggested the same. Just hoped someone would know as we’ll probably do both seats to get a match, door cards and tunnel look like they’ll clean up ok

I've used Furniture Clinic for my refurb kit, and sent them a 1" square sample from under the seat for them to colour match
