Can anyone recommend somewhere I can get my chassis prepared, painted and waxoyled? I know a lot of you will be thinking...'do it yourself you lazy sod', I did buy all the materials, but to be honest the thought of laying under it for hours covered in rust etc really doesn't appeal!

The trouble with getting someone else to do this work is that you can never be 100% sure how well the work will be done.
Consider this, when I bought my S2 I was quite pleased to see a receipt for several hundred pounds a few years previously for renovation of the chassis.
My MOT was due in June, so in May I started working my way around the underside of the car. In all areas I looked at I found the hammerite flakey & bubbly. I stripped away the paint to find most of the chassis was quite badly rusted and I welding was needed for the MOT.
I'm only too happy to wear goggles, face-mask & get covered in crud to make sure my car is safe and the job gets done properly. Just because a chassis has been painted/waxoiled doesn't mean its sound. If you are going to pay someone to do the work, get them to take pictures of what they do.

I can recomend Techniques at Stotfold in North Hertfordshire (just off the A1) very highly indeed. Brian who runs the place is very knowledgeable indeed, as well as being one of the nicest people I've ever met in my life. They seem to mainly work on Morgans, but certainly know their stuff about TVRs as well. I think they do a lot of racecar preparation, so very up-to-speed with their welding etc if any section replacement necessary. Financially very competitive too.
I had the chassis on my S3 sorted there a few months back, very impressed indeed. Looking into upgrading the RAC cover so that the car could be taken there if I ever have any problems in the future!
