I will be taking my hood to have a new window put in.read Steve Heath book for removal,does anyone know if there are any pictures of the process anywhere?

essentially it is glued to the main hoop - that has one bold either side at the hinge point and also an electrical connector for the interior light.
the rear is folded over U shaped fibreglass around the rear of the passenger compartment with 6 (I think) roofing bolts going down into the boot area. Quite difficult to see and removing the nuts is a PITA. If the bolts start turning then you need to peel the hood back towards the rear of the car to almost expose the heads.

While you've got the rear moulding off have a think about extending the sides so that they run to the 'B' post. The extensions will cover that nasty gap between the inner and outer shell and give you a solid point to fix the Velcro to.

Have a look at the photos on the post dated 28th January 2015 and following and you'll see what I mean. HERE

Thanks guys, i think i get the idea, got some decent velcro to finish, once the window has been done,hod fabric is ok,split appeared in window which is quite brittle.
