Hi folks

Yes, I know this has been done to death, and I know they are like hen’s teeth, but I have managed to break one of my original indicator lenses today mad

I know that the BMW E30 indicators are an alternative and I have read that they fit without modification. My question is though, do I need to buy the full unit or will the lenses fit onto the TVR casings?

Many thanks.

Don’t you just hate it when that happens.

It happened to me and the BMW lenses fitted perfectly over the TVR casings the screw holes lined up very well.

Just get the BMW lenses and not the casings.

Sorted

... And destroy a good (and valuable) original indicator to make a pair? yikes

The other one was already cracked so I needed a pair. Not bothered about originality myself. The Sherpa lenses were probably only original because TVR bought a massive box of them at a knockdown price. They could easily have been some other sort if they found some cheaper from elsewhere

Thank you for the tip Mr Philpott. I honestly hadn’t noticed the edit button. I should pay more attention.

If you don’t like the thought of me wasting indicator lenses then you really don’t want to know about me replacing my V8S door mirrors with ones from an Audi TT (big smiley face - I cant get emojis to work on my phone).

I have no issues with non original (VW mirrors on my S and TT on the Taimar wink ) but a good front indicator = £50+ , cut the lens off and it's worth a big zilch smile

Have silly things like the rubber hoops that go round wing mirrors.

Need to catalogue and get what I have valued.

I know that £50 per indicator lens may seem expensive but when there aren’t any for sale???

I have another car where parts are very scarce and some of the prices the US guys charge are eye watering. One wanted something like £150 for one original console switch. You either pay what they want or go without is what they tell me......

Not being difficult but I have been offered more for the lenses as they are quite rare.

Don't think it's expensive, that's what I have offered.

Are they just the lenses or complete indicators?
