Door handles and key barrels

Hi all

Knowing handles are hard to come by or should I say impossible, has anyone done a mod for different handles?

Has anyone got a set of lock barrels?

Are those Mk 2 escort handles the same item which TVR used on the S series? Are they made of proper metal, rather than the wretched mazak alloy? I may need a pair in the future, as the chrome is starting to disintegrate on mine.

TVR used the Ford handles, until Ford dropped them, then it looks like TVR had them made directly and added the 'TVR' logo?

Either way they'll be Mazek

I have ordered the ebay ones.
On a strip down and cleaning it is the tension springs that are rusted on the barrels.
Quote from a company 45 each.

So hopefully the donor handles springs will be good.

Not sure what spring you mean but this was my fix ........ door handle repair

Not the rear spring, but the one on the barrel as you take the cover off. I will take some pics

These little chaps are the only other springs in my 'door handle box' ?

You could of had these for a bit less (but not a lot less) than £45 .....

If you get stuck for the internals lock brass wafers for the Ford /TVR handle ..then I had these made to re key the handles
