Hi all

Looking for help again.
After a long pause, I am back to the build, I can’t find or remember any shims on the rear back brakes.
I have an S1 ‘89.
Did it have 0.05 shims, as in pic 14 and 14a

Thanks
Jon

My 88 S1 had non shims on there either. Now my suspension has settled the toe in is off so maybe I need some wedge shaped shims but I don't know how you would work that out before everything is back together and settled.

Your car may or may not have them fitted.
These shims are fitted as required and would be fitted only in a rectification situation if you build the suspension up then after a road test check the angles if it needs adjustment buy 1 of each shims 0.05 and 0.1 then cut them in half and fit accordingly to make adjustment..max 2 shims per side.
Hope that helps.

No shims on mine, but I used washers to get the geometry I wanted.
