S3 wheel refurb
Discussion
Hi All, wheels are currently off car, and due 4 new Dunlop Blue rinses.
Might get the wheels refurbed at the same time. Does anyone have any recommendations ? Preferably in the West Midlands or close.
Standard is diamond cut and lacquered, any other options for OZ 8 spokes ?
Finally, any idea on price ?? Wheels are not desperate to be done as they are ok, I’d just like them to be mint !

This will I am sure generate a lot of differing opinions. Personally I prefer them as they left the factory. Diamond cut, no lacquer and keep the black inserts. A bit of polish keeps them looking good. Mine were done at lepsons- the only issue is the milling machine leaving slight tracks. Won’t be cheap doing it that way though. A damn good polish can work wonders. Many have done shadow chrome for durability etc. Personally as I say, prefer it as it was intended
Heard nothing but good things about these guys in Birmingham..... Sweeney & Sherlock.
Mentioning 'Coleshill Auto Breakfast Meet' might got you a little discount ..... https://www.facebook.com/groups/230577174171121/

I had an S3C from new and the wheels came diamond cut and lacquered - the lacquer started to peel within a few months. Since then I have hand-polished the wheels on both my subsequent S3's (and no lacquer). Gassing Station | S Series | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
