Hi all,

During lockdown I thought I would sort out the dodgy electric boot release and also had a plan to make an emergency release too.
The solenoid was replaced which sorted out the electrical release.

Here is a picture of my emergency release

And from inside the boot

Very happy with the result, secure and tidy don't you think?

Same emergency cable pull but I have used an emergency electric garage door release as a way of pulling the cable in an emergency using the lock as a handle.
Your boot lock looks to be in a different place to mine?

Mine an early 1988 S1 - the catch is in the centre of the rear above the number plate

Mine is a late S3 where catch is on the drivers side just up from the corner. Who'd have thought two tvr s's would be so different laugh
