You may remember my recent posting about dash removal, where several guys were removing dashes, me included.

Having had the dash recovered, I'm now getting ready to put it all back together and dreading all the cuts but I reckon that I have wasted my time because I wanted to remove the whole dash not just the central veneered section.
The point of my posting is that removing the whole dash is just a few nuts and bolts on my S3 and then drop the steering column and pull the whole lot out

If I then wanted to re-veneer the central section, I could just undo all the nuts off the car.

I dont think you can on the S3 as you need to get to the heater cables, and as you know they are only just long enough.Plus surely you want to check the wiring on the instruments.Ready to be corrected though.

P.S when i put mine back i left of the nut between the steering colum and the heater still nice and secure.
