Not my strong point Chris, I have the (Chevette) rotary switches but old BL stuff maybe, TR7?

Yep, TR7. Like THIS. A few years ago I sourced a supplier of switch decals. I'll try and find the post if you're interested.

Thanks guys I did look at TR7 switches. Has anyone replaced these with more modern types of the same size? Just thought whilst things are in bits it might be worth upgrading. By the way it's amazing the mummified bug life behind the facial. I presume because the eyeball vents weren't attached

Those old switches are well made and very robust. You can strip them down, clean and lubricate with a smear of silicone grease (or Vaseline) and they'll be as good as new. You won't find better by going modern.

Watch out for the little springs and pins though, they will make a bid for freedom the first chance they get laugh

Thanks all I'll strip the existing switches and see if that improves things

If you decide to change these are good switches. A range of logo's available, and plain if there isn't a suitable logo. The light can be wired to come on when switch is 'on' or with sidelights to illuminate switch at night......................
