Hi guys help needed on a issue with my head lights.
I'm rebuilding my s1 which has had a total rebuild. All my rear lights and indicators work fine however when I put my sidelights on both them and my headlight's come on. Then when I put my head lights on just the sidelights come on.
I've checked the wiring on the lights all colours are correct according to the wiring diagram. Checked wires on rear of switch all seems good so I'm alittle baffled.
Any help guys appreciate big time

sounds like the cables on the bonnet is different to the cables on the body/chassis.
Just need the open up whatever you have used to join the two looms and check which ones are live with the lighting switch in it's various positions and then swap the bonnet cables to suit the body ones.

Wiring issues? On a TVR? No, really?
As above. At the front of the chassis on each side (near the lower corners of the rad) you'll find the multi-pin connectors which provide power to the lights and indicators. Pull these apart, switch the side lights on, touch the -ve probe of your Avo to earth stick the +ve probe into each terminal in turn until you get 12V (chassis side). Now you know what that pin is for. Repeat for each light and note which is which. Then take a wire from the battery +ve and touch each terminal on the bonnet side of the plug and note which light comes on. If anything fails to work then you know you've got a dodgy earth as well (more than likely!). Then simply cross check one side of the plug to the other and see if everything is where is should be.
