Having taken the electrical connections off my TVR S3 10 years ago the labels have faded and I am stuck with one connector on the loom that goes behind the engine. It is a black two socket connector with a brown blue and brown red wire - any ideas what it connects to - pic attached. I have checked the wiring diagrams but sadly have no ideas. As usual hoping this forum can work its magic! Thanks Phil

Is it the connector for the brake fluid reservoir warning light that fits on to the cap?

Nice thought but no I have two other female spade connections that connect to the brake cap. Thanks anyway.

Nothing like that on my S3 so I reckon it's something specific to the catylist cars? I owned an S3c briefly and seem to recall lots of "things" with tubes or wires going to them on the bulkhead!

On the other hand it wouldn't be the first time someone has found a spare connection in a TVR loom that goes nowhere!

Have a look at this from the Steve Heath book. Means nothing to me but someone may be able to help.

Alarm sounder maybe?

On my S3c it's crudely taped to part of the loom at the back of the engine compartment and has definitely never been connected to anything as it's full of crud. I think you can safely ignore it as a redundant Ford loom fitting IMHO.
How clean is the inside of the plug? Does it look as though it has been used before?

Thanks Stu makes sense as it is grubby and I cannot find a thing to attach it to. So sounds a plan and thanks for looking much appreciated. Phil

Something to do with the Granada Auto box maybe? Like kick down control or similar? The 2.8 auto Granada I used to chauffeur back in the day had masses more wiring under the bonnet than the 2.8 Capri. I don't know which Ford engine loom the 290s uses.
