In theory the car isn't supposed to idle well with the ISCV unplugged as it should be getting very little air and too much fuel. It therefore sounds to me like you have too much air getting in somewhere. Is your throttle butterfly definitely closing fully? Any other possible air leaks such as brake servo which might be letting additional air into the system?
I chased an issue for some time on mine where the idle hunted and remained too high - sent the ECU away for refurb and it had an error in the idle channel which needed fixing. Do you have access to someone with a known functional ECU you could borrow for 5 mins?
