Hello, comrades and I hope you are all doing well.
In the current lockdown I’ve been doing some work on my V8S engine using parts I bought last autumn. Head gaskets, inlet manifold gasket and exhaust manifold gaskets. Unfortunately I dismantled the engine last autumn and made notes and drawings in a book to tell me where everything connected up, and added masking tape with notes on to wires and pipes.
Unfortunately I’ve lost the book - goodness knows where it’s gone. I’ve managed without it and almost finished but I have two plugs left that I can’t find a home for.
I attach a photograph of them. Both look identical and both are female. I’m hoping they are for connecting up diagnostics equipment.
Can anyone tell me what they are, please? They are the two creamy coloured connectors facing the camera.
Thank you all very much and stay healthy.

Hi Ian,

Probably because TVR used Rover looms there may be cable plugs and sockets that are not in use on your car.

Someone with a S Series will sort you out I'm sure.

Thank you Lance and Adrian for the very quick replies.
My car doesn’t have catalytic converters so I assume that means the two plugs are redundant. I certainly don’t recall unplugging them when I dismantled it six months ago but I’m at that dodgy age.
Thank you both for your very kind help.

What he said. ^^^

If you have cats, the lambda sensors will be in the headers just past the collector/precat and have similar looking circular plugs. I seem to remember there being a short extension lead on each side running behind the rocker covers, but It's been a couple of decades since I saw the hotwire system on mine and I may have imagined that.

That’ll do for me. Thank you everyone, and all resolved in little more than an hour.
You are all top people - thank you.
