S1 Throttle Settings
Discussion
Having recently had the cylinder heads off to fit new exhaust manifolds I then found I couldn't get an idle because of a leaking air duct (see earlier thread). Replaced the ducting and couldn't get the idle speed down to 900rpm because the stop screw on the top of the throttle was holding the throttle plate open. I have now backed out the stop screw and set the idle speed with the correct screw underneath the throttle and all is well except to cold start I now need to open the throttle wide and it takes a good few turns. Once away it runs and idles terrific but I am now intrigued as to how the stop screw should be set, as none of the literature mentions it, and is it affecting the starting? I've checked all the other cold start functions and they are all working O.K.
Any help would be appreciated.
