Mine has just gone into the classifieds...

Although I am not sure it fits into all of you criteria.

Ask the guys on here about the car and they will tell you their honest opinions.

Cheers

Hmmm, johno's motor;

S2/S3
S3 divided by S2 = S1.5 - yup, that matches.

Colour: Silver/Blue/Black
Its Blue, yes thats ok.

Interior: Magnolia/Tan/Will consider other colours
Yup.

Wheels: 8 Spokes
Yes it has wheels, almost 8 spokes so near enough.

Mileage: Less than 600k
Yes well under 600k miles.

History: Would be Nice
Its all here somewhere.

Area: Preferably as near to Kent as possible, although will travel for a nice example.
Yep, not far, it has been seen in Kent.

In all honesty, you should take a look, its a sound example and needs an owner that doesn't keep threatening to sell it.

Cheers,
JSG.

Hi Chris

I work for Adrian Blyth Specialist Cars - currently we have 3 S series - based near Hindhead, Surrey.

Check them out on our website. NB Paris Blue S3 in Coming Soon is now in stock but not shown on website.

Johno's car is a gem. Whilst the mileage may be more than some, I would have every confidence it would be more reliable from what I have heard about the mechanical side of things.

IMHO its not worth paying the extra to buy an S through a dealer. The premium that you pay to buy trade is not backed up by any decent warranty due to teh age of these cars in any event. A warranty is the only reason I would buy from a dealer and if this isnt in place then I would rather buy from a private seller who can tell me all about the car from personal experience.

Johno - what are your plans then?

That mileage is nothing to be worried about imo. I'd rather have something that's been used than has been sat around for ages until someone ragged its arse every weekend. Besides, he's done all the hard work and even if the motor did go pop (which is so unlikely) it's only a ford 2.9efi for goodness sake, probably cost less than 500 for another one.

No doubt the spec of the car sounds great, and i agree, if all that work has been done, its a result.
Its just that im looking for a bit of a newer spec car,
I Think!
