Help....part number... ball joint

Hi

Just failed MOT withg play in the off side front upper ball joint.

I used to have a parts list for the S that some kind people had compiled but have lost it.

Does anyone know the part number & manufacturer of the o/s front upper ball joint on an S2 ?

There is a problem with the fit of some SAAB 900 ball joints - even the original ones from SAAB are too big.

A perfect fit is Q&H part No. QSJ1004S. "

mine failed on the same thing also a while ago ,and a few other having problems round this area ,
how strange

Mine failed with this too , the Q&H part (as above ) fitted fine and was on the shelf at the local motor factors.

I have ordered the Q&H part and local garage is fitting & re-MOT on Friday.

Dont know what i'd do without the forum !
