Hi trying to remove the clutch slave cylinder first the pipe is seized on I have ordered a spanner with a cut out.But my biggest problem is trying to loosen the bolts on the slave the bottom is easy but how do you get to the top one off.I think i have spent aut 8 hours but can't get it off.I have tried all my tools but to no avail.
How do you do it. Help help.help

Hi dont know if this will help but local hydraulic company use a freeze can on nuts that won't undo spray it till really cold let it warm back up and try I asked did it work and they said they dont use a blow torch any more good luck

On mine the slave cylinder ia attached to the gear box by a bracket which undoes fairly easily Remove the whole thing which then gives you access to the slave bolts. I ditched the pipe and put in a new braided hose.. Plenty of details on here.

Thanks for the advice I took the bracket off thanks for that Andy.It was still not easy could be because I am 74 and had a stroke last year.
Still it won't be as difficult to put the new one on.

The bracket, like so many TVR things, is a poor design. Getting a ring spanner on the bolt heads can be awkward.

But at least with the bracket off you can get it in the vice (if you have one) and if all else fails cut the bolts off.

May be replace with capheads... scratchchin

If pipe nut is tight cut the pipe, you can then get a ring spanner or socket on it, keeps nuts and get new pipe made up (making sure nuts fit new cylinder first) wink
