Sierra calipers - piston removal
Discussion
If I understand correctly all you are wanting to do is remove the piston?
The way I have always done it in the past is by using compressed air. Remove the bleed nipple, put a rag over the end of the piston and 'fire' some compressed air into the recess where the nipple was. You will find that the piston 'pops' out at high speed so make sure your rag is held tightly in place and that your fingers are out of the way.

I believe you need a specific tool to remove the piston, any recommendations before i either spend too much or buy the wrong one?
Before you take it apart, make sure you understand how the handbrake mechanism works and especially how to disassemble and reassemble the handbrake automatic adjuster.Gassing Station | S Series | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
