Hello all.
After many years, reading the Tvr forum, I'm now the new owner of this "S". Now She's in France, near Paris. I bought it from James Agger in May. I drove back to my home, a little adventure, and she runs lovely, and this music...
I've already made some changes : side repeaters, front signals, and the front bumpers. I changed the bearing of the fire wall. And others little things.
I bought the "Bible" too.
I've got some questions, I'll ask them later...
Sorry for my poor English.
Denis.

Welcome Denis to this great site and the wonderful people who run this brilliant car.

For general chitchat there is also a facebook page 'TVR S Series Owners and Enthusiasts'

and of course there is the TVRCC

One of the best things about this page is the ability to Google search past topics - always include the phrase 'pistonheads................'

There are owners in Europe with whom you can chat with

and don't forget the organised tours and meetings (including fasttracktours)

Hi Denis and congratulations on getting your lovely TVR S.

I am also new to TVR ownership but have found so many helpful people here on the forum the restoration of my car (also white) was easy.

Is your car an S1? By the way, your English is much, much better than my French!

I just noticed your post title - S2. Mine is a 1988 S1.

Or you could ask people who actually have hands on experience of driving, owning and working on TVR's wink

Thanks for your welcome. There are many little things to do on the car. It's very warm inside when you are driving, so I'm going to insulate the motor. (I'LL try)
The body is higher on the left. There is not the same space between the top of the tire and the top of the arch wheel.
And last, at this point, I'm looking for an original steering wheel, like this one...if someone is selling one...

That's normal. Most of the TVR shells are not symmetrical from side to side.

Well you could try fitting an AC or even driving with the top down.
smile

But seriously, some new heat shielding in the engine bay ( tunnel area ) will help, but it will be a challenge to fit.

No A/C, I don't want to loose power...
Insulate the motor Bay and the tunnel box is, perhaps easier by the inside...Take off the carpets, put on the insulator...

Take the roof off and lower the windows. Much easier and a lot cheaper laugh

Fiberglass is susceptible to heat damage, so if the back of the engine bay is getting very hot you might want to put the insulation on the outside of the fiberglass. Mine has it on the inner sides of the footwells and back down the tunnel.

And around the top chassis rails.

And the starter motor/solenoid assembly.

And the fuel lines.

And the water hose where it gets too close to the Y piece.

And the oil lines that get too close too.

And the ends of the plug leads.

And so on.

It's hot every where ... Have you got some pictures please ?
My car get it's "M.O.T." yesterday, contrôle technique, en Français. Some points of rust here and there ; oil, box or engine, or both every where...and the new 2018 shocks on the rear are too soft.
The frame is waxoiled, but it's not a good thing, that's his the issues with the rust.
Good day all.

That's very smart! But I'd guess the boss on that one wouldn't be interchangeable with another make of wheel. That means you'll need a wheel and a boss which fits your steering column. Don't be tempted to buy a wheel that looks like a bargain because you may not to be able to fit it to your 'S'. At least not without significant extra expense.

Moto-Lita do a wheel of the style you want and will probably be able to supply a boss kit but they are expensive. See HERE, but there again they are very good wheels. They only list a polished one but it might be worth asking if they would supply a black one.

Thank you, this Moto Lita is nice , but I prefer the original. The hub is with many holes, I think you can put different types of steering on it.

I've posted this before on a previous thread, it may help you find the right adapter. Other brands are shown on their website
