The electric window on the drivers side of my S2 is no longer working properly. Where can I obtain a new motor that wont cost me the earth. I have been quoted by TVR a price of £150 to £350 plus. I been told that this particular motor is specially made for them, is this true. Can I obtain a new motor or reconditioned motor at a price that wont break the bank balance.

regards

Are you sure that it's the motor? I had a problem wherby the motor was very slow, then stopped working altogether. It turned out to be a poor connection. It works perfectly now!

I think the mechanism is from Renault 5.

I had a similar problem a while back. I checked most everything, then found out that some of the connectors at the back of the window switches were duff.

If you pull the switches out of the dash, there are about 5 connectors on the back of the switch. I would make sure all of these are clean and working properly before you spend money (unless you know the motor is dead). I had one or two that only worked intermittantly, and a couple that had all but broken and were being held in place with electric tape.

Good luck.
