While going through the vehicle history paperwork for our TVR. I noticed that the first known registration number shown on its first MoT is a TVR themed number - TVR 209S. The reg number was transferred off my car in 1995. The registration mark is still being used and is currently on a SORN'ed 1989 2.9 litre TVR. Be nice to fill a blank in respect of the car's history.
Anyone know the car/registration mark?

YES ! I owned the car for a year or so in the early-90s. I liked the mercury grey paintwork and the correct early wheels, but was never quite sure about the original oxblood half-hide interior which was a bit "in yer face" for my taste; looks like it has been re-trimmed in grey or beige ? I do recall the car performed well, and the 2.8 engine was more responsive than the 2.9 in all my other S's (I've owned 5 of them). I can't recall why I sold the car but it had something to do with a career change.

Wow !! .. That is amazing, I hoped to be able to contact an old owner or two, but I never thought I would ever see an old photograph of the car like this. This is bloomin' fantastic. The V5 still says the car is grey, and I thought that it was odd that it said this, but thought it was because the blue colour of today sort of could be called grey in the right light, but now I know why smile Period Cibie front spot lights too, they have gone of course.
