Our TVR S1 (Arrival)
Discussion
We bought the TVR S1 from a Berkshire trader in July 2019. A previous private owner from Lancashire owned the car from April 2008 until June 2019.
Here is a little video showing a quick look around upon arrival back at home.
New leather interior, a hood and carpets were fitted in February 2016 at a cost of £2,800.
The roll cage isn’t standard and was fitted in 2015 costing £580.
The stainless-steel exhaust fitted in 1995 is from a TVR V8S model costing £416.

Looks really good.
One point though - the seat belt (harness) top mounting is NOT safe. In a crash it will not hold you into the seat back as it will allow the seat back to pivot, being anchored near the rear of the seat base.
The correct mounting should be in the arc of horizontal to 15degrees down. Easy enough to drill the rear bulkhead and fit through a metal bar (that will stop the mounting from pulling through the bulkhead.
Any place that sells harnesses will have a diagram to show correct installation (also maybe just google it)

Magpies, thank you for the feedback. I have just taken a closer look at the car and you are absolutely correct. In the event of a forward collision, the straps will act upon the backs of the seats, essentially pulling the seat forwards against / towards the occupant(s). As suggested, I will take a look at how these harnesses can be better fitted.
