Well done, but damn it, you beat me to it.
I was just considering changing out the black rubber for half round stainless tube inserts. But that's a while away yet on my S3 resto.
I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of shots from further away from the car.
Again... Well done.

It's a first fit basically, loads more to do (obviously), all taken from a production vehicle and chopped about, also have the front one to form 2 more quarter bumpers.....will get better pics, got a bit carried away as it was a shot in the dark regarding fitment, but I think they will work.

Great idea! thumbup

I'm not sure about the over-rider though. It wouldn't take much for that to get pushed into the rear light and and smash the lens.

No, the over rider goes..mounting bolt seized solid, need to go get the windy gun and shear it off, idea is to be as smooth as possible, so all rubbing strip mounts etc go and its being chromed.

Bumper is to be cut back at a splay below the rear lights, where the 'bump' is moulded,as a stop for the standard rubbing strips, an infill welded in filling the splayed cut end.
