I just thought I'd say how impressed I am that the original clutch made it to 109,000 miles.
It finally let go on the way back from Scotland, about 10 miles from home in Wootton Basset. It delivered me to the front door of a pub on the high street.
The wait for recovery, courtesy of ClassicLine, was only half an hour. A great service provided.
Apparently all the clutch parts have the original ford part numbers on.

Decent mileage for an old car! Very nice of it to drop you off at a pub!!!

While it is off, are you aware of the clutch operating rod to clutch lever wear issue? Recently covered again her or on FB. If not I will try to find it for you. Needs to be sorted while it is out.

Give the slave cylinder a good look, many of us are converting to Series 3 Landrover as the original cylinder is rather an odd one and of course Landie spares are cheap and easy to find.
