I ran an S2 as a daily driver for several years without any problems. I ran the V8S as a daily driver after that and covered 100k + miles.

You need to make sure it's in good condition and well maintained, and if you're driving in bad weather you need to be prepared to cope with relatively ineffective headlamps, a mediocre heating/ventilation system and a car that is very vulnerable to power induced oversteer in slippery conditions. If you're ok with all that, go for it!

May be different out there in Italy but here in UK the insurance could be a lot more if declared as a daily drive and not a "weekend hobby"?

I run my S3C as a daily driver..... only by dry weather. In France, we have a proverb that say the main difficulty with British cars, is to keep oil inside, and water outside. No problem with the oil, but the TVR is not a waterproofness example. During bad weather period, water finally get in the car, moisturize the inside with all involved problems.

Milano has not a dry climate, between 900 and 1000mm of rain a year, exactly the same figures in my area.... but the rain is colder ;-)

You just have to remember to make sure the floor leaks more than the roof.

I like that laugh

The main problem with the S is that it is almost impossible to have big holes in a rusty floor panels... Compared to the classic Mini for example (I own 4)
