J-LLO is now going reasonably well, enough to be confident going to the Alps.
However, the tickover is still a little lumpy but the main problem is that the engine will maintain 2000 rpm on lift off then settle to 1500 then down to about 1200 then normal tickover around 1000. It doesn’t cause much of a problem in most circumstances but would be nice to sort before Thursday.
I am aware of the 1200 to tickover ‘normal’ characteristic!
Has anyone else had similar symptoms?
Cheers

I know this will sound stupid but,..... is your carpet/floor mat getting stuck under the pedal? Or maybe a sticky throttle cable? Check the cable isn't fraying where the nipple goes through the slot at the end of the pedal.
Whatever you do Tony don't mention nipples going through slots to Niiige...........!!Probably repeating things you're double checked already Tony but..............
Servo and it's pipe?
The little vac hose from throttle body to fuel pressure regulator?
PCV valve in rocker cover?
Big hoses from air flow meters?
Have you tried another throttle position sensor? I can bring a spare or two along?

I have used your Iscv and it is better. Faster die back but not perfect. Disconnecting the Iscv does not make any difference to tickover so there must be an air leak. I have checked all the pipes and reinstalled the plenum and fuel rail, with cleaned injectors and new o rings. You can hear a chuffing on acceleration but the performance is ok. I don’t think TPS is a culprit but could try one in a French car park! I suspect Inlet manifold gasket but I am not brave enough or stupid enough to change it tonight ( but the new gasket may be in the boot)
I will be taking my Iscv just in case yours fails and we need to swap. After we return I am happy to return yours and order a new one, if that is OK with you. As mentioned, I will have the STAR tester as well if anybody needs some diagnostics whilst we are away. I am now fairly used to using this!
Looking forward to meeting up in Calais
