my new toy has arrived.

as some of you will recall I recently picked up an s2 in need of rescuing from a life stuck in a garage.

hoping for an easy recomissioning. sadly after some early success the engine turned out to be scrap.

so after a bit of head scratching I'd decided if I was going to put all that work in I needed somthing a bit different.

and it arrived today.



now to make it all fit

There are 3 of us putting the 3ltr Jag S Type engines in the V6 S.
240 bhp standard and being all alloy 60kg lighter.
Complete running cars can be had for £600 - mine came with 6 months MoT. 83000 miles
Check my build thread …..Cossy sold...., started the strip down and build 6months ago.

I've seen those threads and theres some brilliant work going on in all of them.

I wanted something a little easier. so I've got an original turbo technics twin turbo engine.

just need to work out the plumbing

so I was hoping to be able to work somthing with the original turbo technics manifolds. however that looks like a non starter so custom it is then.

You will likley have to put the turbos in front of the engine like the Chim turbo guys do.

One large turbo may be easier to plumb.

So what sort of power does a TT cologne 2.9 make then?

Should have loads of torque.?

there were a number of different kits produced ranging from 200 to 325bhp. I believe this is a 280bhp one but it has a fresh rebuild and slightly bigger turbos. so it should be quite pokey.

info on the torque figures is no so easy to find but some clame around 340lbft
