Steering wheel
Discussion
Thanks for the replies Chaps, thought I would check the forum before resorting to ebay!
Adrian@, I thought there was a standard black leather one that I have seen on the majority of S's.
The wooden version of wheel seems to vary a bit.
If you have a leather one for sale, a photo would be greatly appreciated? Thanks

I have just checked what I have and thrown away the damaged ones...the rest are usable, the 3 larger ones have 9 hole centres and are as such new (having lain around for years), the two Personal and the Griff 500 (Personal) are used (taken off cars to be swapped for wooden ones no doubt). Let me know. (but a nice bottle Vouvray for the wife, plus carriage! would get you one).

Could I get one of the middle ones from you. Was going to refurb the one I have to save money but at such a reasonable offering makes sense to renew, do you have the centre cap too, mines shabby.
Do you have a lot of S1 parts, I’m just embarking on a full restoration and it’s a little tatty to say the least. Trying to collect bits as I go.

Ok ladies/gents, I now have (thanks to Adrian), a leather steering wheel (6 screw attachment). My next issue is: distance on new wheel hole to opposite hole is 75mm, but my wooden wheel is 100mm. Can someone please point me at a suitable hub for the replacement wheel? I'll transfer to my phone and see if I can post a photo.
Thanks
Thanks
You got my attention...I understand the 9 hole ones to be moto-lita ...my mate Simon fitted one to his LR Defender this week in exchange for a bottle of Vouvray AND a bottle of Macon Villages...LOL, so there are couple more sat here (one as good as new and the other 98% good, but in very usable condition). PM me. A@
I've taken my old wheel and hub off to see what I need to install the leather replacement.
Been looking on the web but not sure exactly what I need?
My current hub is as follows
So, the hub is in two halves. The outer hub is attached to the inner hub via 3 screws/ nyloc nuts. I can't see anything on the web that looks like a replacement for the outer hub (with 6 bolt x 74mm pcd).
Can anyone offer any guidance please?
Thanks

The thing you're looking for is a "boss" but without knowing what make the wheel is you'll be lucky to find one. the slightly dished 3-spoke wheel in the photo above looks like an OEM "Personal" but if it's not that try MoMo as a starter for ten. I think they had small centre holes.
Try Driftworks. They sell universal fitting kits but whether they do one for an old Ford Sierra is another matter.

Have a look at this. It says it fits all TVR models, might be worth contacting them.
