I'm having problems removing the alternator pulley from my old alternator to transfer onto a reconditioned unit.
Anyone know where I can source a new one?

Thanks in advance

this one or this one might do the job, you'll need to check some measurements, 17mm shaft sounds familiar not wouldn't bet on it!

Not got a friendly local garage/workshop that could get your one off, two minute job if they have a suitable puller scratchchin

Did new unit come with the fan?

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the links, the second one looks about right. I'll have to measure the shaft. The reconditioned alternator came with a new fan. Why do you ask?

Because my "plan B" would be to look at cutting through the shaft then the off-cut should tap out reasonably easy.

But there's not a lot of room, if damaging the old fan isn't an issue that might help?

Thinking about it, I'm pretty sure I should have one "somewhere" scratchchin

The nut just won't move, I'll have another look today just to make sure if it's a left hand or right hand thread but I've already sheared a hex key trying to release it. There is a local garage so I might take it there to see if they can release it.

The thread is a right hand one, pop down to your local garage and ask them to remove the nut with an impact gun
