Hi chaps,
I found this alternative to the grey " italmec " Central locking relay under the passenger side dashboard area. After trying it out on my car I can confirm it's a straight swap.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Central-Locking-Timer-R...

May be of use ..... reasonably priced too .....no link hopefully just useful.

What exactly does the central locking timer relay do ? I've never had to change / investigate one so have no idea what need there would be for a timer relay in the central locking.

It powers the central locking motors

It was the timer aspect of it I was unsure about .. presumably it's a momentary relay which powers the relays for a brief moment and then cuts the power .. ? I would have thought that would have been done by the control box for the central locking .. ?
