Hey all,

Been asked quite a few times where to source these bushes when people are ordering a shortshift lever, and though I suspect it's on a thread somewhere, I thought I'd pinpoint it on a thread of its own.

This is what you want:

Don't be tempted by the brass type, unlike you like buzzy levers! They're good for motorsport, not so good for road use.

Regards the levers themselves, I've got a few left in stock. For the life of me I can't remember who it was that wanted one the other week, but if you read this, get in touch as I have it ready!

This may work out cheaper with free postage, unless you're buying more bits from Burton, no idea if it really is any "better"?

I got one from Burton few weeks ago and replaced it. I'm a little worried because the lever has some difficulties to slide up/down. Of course all parts has been plentifully greased before assembly. It is pretty hard to pull down to go to reverse gear, and needs help to come back in upper position after passing through reverse gear. I hope time and wear will help.

But they're not meant to wear! ... biggrin

I'd pop it out again and see how freely (or not) it slides in the gearlever. Ease it with a fine file or Emery cloth if too tight

When a steel parts slides against a plastic piece.... you can be sure that will wear wink. I don't know how you say in English when parts in a system have to adapt each other, when you build a new engine for example. I'm pretty sure time will help.
