Hello All

I need to replace the Fuel Pressure Regulator for my TVR S3 (1990).

The part numbers are:

BOSCH: - 0 280 160 291
FORD: - 89TF-9C968 AA

Had a bit of a search online and coming up with the part info, which all adds up, but no option to buy the part anywhere.
Any idea's folks?

Cheers
Martin

Just as a cross-check, do you have the posh cast fuel rail? Looks like the right regulator reference if you have.
A while ago ukflyboy was looking for one, and found one somewhere.
Mine has the nasty seam-welded tin rail, and the similar (but different) regulator was much cheaper, even sourced from the USA!

Hi
The part numbers are defo correct as taken them off the actual part on the car. Fuel rail in a shiny aluminium one.

Cheers... Hopefully someone will have a source for this part.

Hi Barry

Mat is already on the case, I am doing some parts investigation / sourcing in parallel in case he draws a blank.

I'm sure he will find something, he normally does.

Cheers

You can always buy a Malpassi adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Then you can increase fule pressure a little which gives shorter injection times and a little better response with better atomization. They are also done so the adjust pressure quicker on acceleration and hence may reduce hesitation slightly and for about the same price, what is not to like.

I have used them for years.

I tried one of those on my S. While the car ran fine, when starting I'd hear the fuel pump run, pressurize the rail then cut off but the car took several seconds cranking before it would fire up?

Went back to standard, touch the key and she bursts into life smile.

I fitted the same on my s3c and I agree with what you say.

I ended up buying two, as the first one had the pipes coming off in the wrong way which prevented it being fitted; which one you need will depend on which fuel rail you have, so pay particular attention to the pipe arrangement to avoid disappointment upon (not quite) fitting!
