Anyone know a V8S with 4.3l factory fitted?

Hi Guys,

does anyone know a V8S that was already sold by factory with the 4.3l engine?

A colleague of mine needs documents of a V8S with 4.3l engine for the vehicle registration.
Technical data, brochures, or best an authorization document for the authorities.
He would like to contact an owner of an original 4.3l.

I also have a 4.3l BV, but officially as 4.0l in the papers. Mine was a conversion of TVR Power.

My colleague also has a converted 4.3l and now has to prove to the approval that this vehicle was also ex factory with 4.3l engine.

The Laws in Austria, Germany, Switzerland are very strict - you can not made a "simple" EngineSwap. Everything must be checked and accepted. Unless you can prove that there were stronger engines from the factory in the respective vehicle.
Otherwise you would now have to do a complete technical inspection (noise measurement, power measurement, brake test, determine whether the performance affects any components, etc.).

That costs a lot of money.
To avoid that you would have to somehow prove to the registration office that the 4.3l engine was officially available in the V8S.

The only one I’ve seen, was sold by Fernurst TVR. If you look in the cars sold section on their website, you,ll see it. Its a white one. Can’t pull up more detail, but I suspect the staff their might be able to help you.

www.dgsportscars.com had one in for sale a few weeks back, now looks like it gone to be Auctioned (https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1054010). They maybe able to point you in the right direction of the past owner?

There was certainly the white factory car, possibly a second factory 4.3 and definitely a 5 litre one from the factory with the early chimaera spec 290hp 5 litre engine.

One of eight. I had no idea they made that many! That's quite a chunk of total V8S production (2 percent?)
