I found myself trying to reach through the screen to blip the throttle during the downshifts, but the exhaust note is glorious.

Was a great day, went so fast I didn’t have time to come and say hello. By the time I went to look for any s’ I couldn’t find any of you!

Such a shame Rockingham is going to disappear. Was a great intoduction to driving on track and finding out issues with my car. Brake bias is badly wrong, rears are doing most of the work and lock first way too easily! Time for more tinkering and working out what’s wrong. Hopefully just need a bit of bleeding, if not it’s more complex.

Will look forward to another TVRCC track day, hope I’ll have the time free from work.

The brake balance on the V8S was appalling, but on my S2 it was pretty good and the brakes coped surprisingly well, even with dust shields fitted.

Have you got the usual drum brakes on the rear? Maybe worth checking the condition of the shoes.

I didn’t give away enough information in my first post as I’m in the s series sub forum. I cheated and didn’t go in my V8s, wife suggested I’d be better off in my noble which I definitely wasn’t arguing over, it’s far more suited to the track. Was great getting it out and getting to know it better. Such a shame I had issues but better to know about them so they can be fixed. My S would have been slower but far more reliable, brake bias on that I think is good if not too far forwards. Fronts lock first which is a good thing!

I did wonder why the Noble wasn't making as fast progress as its heritage suggested.
