I am about to have my BluResponses fitted. Unlike the current (but old) tyres which are marked for direction of rotation, the new ones are simply marked to indicate the outer face. As the tyre pattern is not symmetrical, surely that means what's going on at the point of contact differs between the nearside and the offside ? Unless I overlooked something like buying left tyres and right tyres... or is this like Twix, they actually behave exactly the same ? (I hope). And good for high-speed reversing I guess.

All you'll have is a difference in the angle of some of the more minor parts of the tread pattern, it won't make any practical difference to how the car drives.

A friend ran BRs on his Audi, they seemed like a decent all round tyre.

I was puzzled, too.
So I found this which seems to explain it.

Thanks - and especially the excellent link which solves what has been somewhat of a puzzle for me for over 50 years (guess that makes me a slow learner).
