S2 Body off Restoration
Discussion
Afternoon this is my first post as a new PH member. I have had a '89 white S2 for a few years and the time has come to restore the chassis after mot failure due to outriggers. Any thoughts and recommendations on a good chassis company in the mid/ south Wales area (based Aberystwyth) to repair outriggers etc and powdercoat? Thanks for your help.
Don't know of anyone in Wales, but Central TVR aren't all that far away as the crow flies. They are in Kingswinsford, which isn't far from Dudley.
They have just done a body off on my Chimaera, and a cracking job it is. It did take them a long time, but then again we agreed that up front as we were about to move, and it's taken me six months to since the car went to them to get the new garage sorted out! The timing worked out for both of us.
Give Adrian a call.

Thanks for the central TVR recommendation they are about 100miles away but look good, certainly worth a call. Appreciate central wales is a tricky one!
I plan to have the chassis stripped down so i can ship it to an outfit that can do the welding, blasting and powdercoat (including suspension components, fuel tank and cradle etc). Depending on cost perhaps reassembly with new bushes, fuel lines and brake lines could be an option.
Happy to travel a reasonable distant for a decent and fair priced job so any other recommendations would be welcome. Want to keep the S longer term and this is the start!
Cheers
