S Envy - Throttle, Exhaust & Engine Bay Advice
Discussion
Hi All,
After a great weekend at S Club I’ve returned with a serious bout of S envy. I don’t post often but as most people didn’t recognise me from the forum, thought I’d start asking questions...
Has anyone got drawings of the straight profile throttle mod?
Has anyone done any mid box exhaust mods? Feeling insecure that my S is a little too neighbor friendly below 3/4 throttle.
I’m going to get cracking on the engine bay soon, first step will be rocker covers, general clean up, maybe ally washer bottle and looking at shotblasting and high temp painting the exhaust manifold any advice here?
Thanks,
Tom

I know but I was hoping to give a sketch to an apprentice as a little project
Alan460 has my spare one that he has been using to modify and send out to people so they can do a direct swap and teturn their banana one to be modded for the next person.I added a proper bearing in lieu of the bushing as mine was badly worn and the bearing was cheaper.
On the enhine bay side.
Move the battery to the boot or get a small race type gel battery and put it in the passenger footwell.
I would recommend getting one of Seans3c twin switl pots, a remote oil filter and a oil/coolant heat exchanger.
Sean can modify his twin pots to put the coolant pipe take offs to suit the altered pipework.
Mount the remote oil filter and heat exchanger where the battery was.
Modify the rad mounts to take a 1999 Subaru Impreza STi radiator. Thanks to the popular motorsport use of the Scoobi they are cheap as chips compared to refurbing the original special.
